Medoc is one of the wine regions most well heard of in the world, as you can find the most expensive and world famous Grand Cru Classes Chateaus in one area. Situated in the southwestern part of France, it located in Bordeaux next to Atlantic Ocean with a moderate Maritime climate. This climate can give various challenges on vine growing, yet it also help produce some of the most powerful, structural red wines in the world. With advanced viticulture practices and wine-making techniques, different communes produce distinct wine style, showing off the differences between terroir in its wine.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
In this Medoc masterclass, our educator will introduce 8 wines from some of the best and top-quality Grand Cru Classes Chateaus or wine makers to showcase how different terroir and wine-making options affect the style, making Medoc renowned for its balance and powerful structural yet elegant wine style. The course will cover:
• Geography, climate and soil
• Wine characteristics of the Medoc Terroir
• Significant grape varieties
• Medoc by numbers
You’ll able to taste 8 premium wines from Medoc, Bordeaux.
