This course imparts a level of knowledge that students can share Barossa Wine with great confidence, including it’s climate, the Old Vine heritage, Barossa Rare & Distinguished wines and well as an in-depth analysis of main wine styles of Barossa. The certified Barossa Wine School educator, Ms. Corinne Mui will lead you through the course in sessions by tasting 24 well-selected wines from this region.
Upon successful completion you will receive an official certificate.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
The course will cover:
- The history, heritage, geography and climate of Barossa
- Geographical Indications of Barossa
- The differences between Barossa Valley & Eden Valley
- Barossa Ground Projects
- The significance of Barossa Old Vines both in Barossa and Internationally
- Rare & Distinguished wines
- Major wine grape varieties grown and wine styles made
- Fortified winemaking in Barossa
You’ll be able to taste 24 wines in different quality levels and styles showing the special region, Barossa. You will have a chance to taste some Rare & Distinguished wines from very old vines in high quality.

Examination
An optional exam with 40 Multiple-choice and 6 short answer questions
