Palate Training Workshop – Oak (Advanced) -[Signature]
Palate training workshop is designed to help improve your palate by exercising your ability to identify primary tastes.
When tasting wine, you may often hear people saying the wine is matured or fermented in oak barrels. Maybe the oak is from French or United States, or maybe it is new or old.In reality oak barrels, one of the most used vessels in winemaking, is a much more complicated matter. It can also come with various sizes, level of toast; producers may even blend wine matured in different types of oak, making “oaked wine” has numerous styles, flavours and complexity.

Palate Training Workshop – Acidity (Advanced) -[Signature]
Palate training workshop is designed to help improve your palate by exercising your ability to identify primary tastes. In this 2 hours advanced acidity session, our Chief Educator Ms. Corinne Mui will lead you achieve the following goals:

Capstone California Wine Certification: Introduction Level 1
The Introductory Level 1 covers 6 hours of classes, with 16 California signature wines to be tasted. After completing this course, you will learn:
- How California's geography, especially the Pacific Ocean and mountain ranges affect viticulture and wine styles.
- Understand the basics of grape-growing practices and viticulture, and able to identify and describe important grape varieties grown in California.
- Introduction to the American Viticultural Area (AVA) system, including the world-famous AVAs of Napa Valley, Sonoma County and Santa Barbara County.
- Explore California's iconic wineries, such as Ridge Vineyards, Frog’s Leap Winery and Robert Mondavi Winery.
- Learn about the key statistics for California wine in global production, consumption and exports.
